Croatia Joins the European Union 6 December 2011

Croatia has reached the finish line in its 10 year process of adopting and integrating EU regulations and policy, and will accede to full membership in the European Union on December 6 2011.

Croatia is the second nation from the former Yugoslavia to join the organization, after Slovenia, bringing the number of EU member states to 28.
